32nd HBCU Alumni Hall of Fame week inspired Dekalb County Youth!

The Positive Image Program brings the Kings & Queens of Historically Black Colleges & Universities to the high schools.

Dr. Ronald E. McNair High had an assembly with the royal court of Fisk & Lincoln Universities that targeted all the Juniors & Seniors.  The conversations included goal setting, life before college, getting prepared, and handling adversity.  #HOFweekend2017

The Call to Womanhood & Call to Manhood symposium advised the girls & boys in separate sessions.  Students from Cedar Grove, Columbia, Dekalb Technology South & McNair  High were enlightened, inspired & mesmerized by the dynamic speakers who shared their stories.  Many of the senior girls were surprised when Dr. Cheryl Dozier, the president of Savannah State University, gave them scholarship offers & her business card. "Have your 60 second elevator speech ready because I walk with money," she advised.  Hank Stewart talked to the boys & shared his world renowned poem "Mad!" Thank you to all the volunteers & leaders who made this event possible!

Congratulations to Crystal Brooks Miss Fisk University for her new title of "Miss HBCU Alumni Hall of Fame"
