McNair High Beta Club placed 4th in National competition.

Throughout the school year the students have completed numerous impact projects and were much more prepared for competition.  CNN had a student spotlight which featured Jaylin Simmons on live TV.  Several National Beta Club students won 1st place at the regional competition in Jekyll Island for Service Snapshot and Lead Outside the Box.  This qualified McNair for an opportunity to compete at nationals in Savannah, GA.  I am happy to say that we are now ranked 4th in the nation for Service Snapshot with over 20,000 students from across the country at the competition.  Jaylin combined the principals she learned in Chick-Fil-A Leader Labs with the Beta Club requirements to earn 48 of 50 points during her presentation of Human Trafficking Awareness.  She highlighted research, a panel discussion, interactive lessons, student involvement, class presentations, teacher activities, and voices of victims.
